The AFGA is incorporated as a non-profit organization under bylaws revised on 2 September, 2001, Rapid City SD. Description

The AFGA is a fraternal organization composed of Air Force Veterans of all eras, including World War II (1941-1945), Korean War (1949-1953), Vietnam (1962-1975), Desert Storm (1991). The Cold War and all peacetime operations in previous and intervening years.

The era of active Air Force gunners ended with the elimination of the Defensive Arial Gunner position on the B-52G/B-52H on October 1, 1991.

General Information

Aircraft on which Air Force gunners served included: A-20/26, B-17, B-25, B-26, B-29/50, B-36, B-45, B-52 and B/RB-66.
